Microsoft have announced that they will stop supporting Windows 7 on the 14th January 2020. After this date, Microsoft will no longer release security updates for Windows 7.
What does this mean for me?
Once Microsoft stop releasing security updates, your Windows 7 machine will be vulnerable to vulnerabilities that have not been fixed before the end of life date. Attackers can exploit vulnerabilities to hack into systems and steal your data.
The best course of action is upgrade to Windows 10, this will ensure that you continue to receive security updates.
Other notable end of life Microsoft products…
